Ganyu's story
Leaks about Ganyu appeared several weeks ago on Genshin Impact beta servers. Officially introduced during the live presentation of 1.2 at the same time as Albedo, Ganyu should arrive in the game soon.
Half-human, half-Adeptus, her soft appearance hides the fact that in her veins runs the blood of Qilin, a mythical creature. Graceful and calm by nature, Qilin often have a gentle character and see no problem facing the most tedious tasks on a daily basis.
Ganyu has been the secretary of the Yuehai Pavilion for many decades. Her insight was soon noticed by Rex Lapis, Prime of the Adepti. When Liyue Qixing appeared centuries ago, Ganyu was already their secretary. Over the years, she remained as a constant in the town of Liyue.
Passionate about her job, paperwork is not an ordeal for her - although her workload has been multiplied by 1,000 over the years. For the Seven Stars of Liyue, Ganyu is more than just an assistant; she is the coordinator of all this flow of information that passes through the Port. Ganyu firmly believes that the work she does honors her contract with the Lord of Geo, and ensures the well-being of as many Liyueans as possible.
Skills
Normal Attack: Liutian Archery
Ganyu can chain 6 consecutive shots. If the spell is charged, then Ganyu performs a more precise aimed shot that deals more damage. During the aimed shot, the power of the cold comes to concentrate on the tip of the arrow. The effects vary depending on the number of charges:
- 1 Charge: Fires an icy arrow that deals Cryo damage.
- 2 charges: Fires a Frostflake arrow that deals Cryo damage. Frost spreads when it hits an enemy, inflicting AoE Cryo damage.
Secondary Attack: Trail of the Qilin
Ganyu drops an Ice Lotus on the ground, it inflicts AoE Cryo damage and then disintegrates. The lotus taunts enemies and distracts their attention from you. Its health points are proportional to Ganyu's max HP. It inflicts area Cryo damage when he ends up exploding or if he is destroyed in the meantime.
Ability: Celestial Shower
By condensing the particles present in the air, Ganyu summons a magical a Sacred Cryo Pearl that exorcises evil. While active, the pearl continuously releases shards of ice, inflicting Cryo damage to enemies in the area.
