Genshin Impact update 1.2, scheduled for December 23, begins to reveal itself as a whole.
First of all, we had confirmation that the Dosdragon Mountains will be the next region available and we can tell ourselves, it will be cold! This region is located to the south of Mondstadt and it will offer the first expansion of the game map. You can find here some screens of the new region.
The frost will be an integral part of this region since there will be an accumulation of cold effects, and you will therefore have to warm up to avoid dying from freezing!
If you have followed the leaks, you won't necessarily have any surprises since the new characters will indeed be Albedo and Ganyu.
During the livestream, we were able to get a glimpse of each of the skill sets of the next two 5 stars and there is still some great entertainment.
As for the banners, we have had some information since Albedo will arrive normally with the release of 1.2 as for Ganyu, it should arrive in January. Moreover, Ganyu will have a charged shot that can be charged twice and his elemental rampage will be a large area in which stalactites will fall. The way the stalactites fall seems to be random.
In addition to meeting already known mobs, you will have to deal with new monsters that seem to be of Cryo attribute given their skin. At least for those in the image below.
As for version 1.1, the arrival of Albedo will be accompanied by a story quest on the character. At the moment, we don't have information on the level required to participate, but you will need, as with all other story quests of this kind, Legendary Keys. Ganyu will have her story quest later in version 1.2 (probably when it's released).
We also saw some pictures showing the event, the new weapons and the two new sets of artifacts that we already told you about during the 1.2 leaks.
The Chalk and Dragon event
In the Chalk and Dragon event, you will accompany Albedo on his quest for the mysterious sword named Fang Fang. You will get the materials to strengthen the weapon as well as Crowns of Wisdom in the event store.
The character of Rosaria will make her first appearance during the storyline in the Dragonspine region. At this time, we don't know if she'll be playable at some point or if she's just there as an extra in this version 1.2. It's highly unlikely that she'll be available as a playable character for a long time, no matter what.
We were also able to have a little more details on the system of phases of rise, which will offer you rewards at each phase of rise. You will therefore have to recover them manually! For those who have forgotten, through this system, you can obtain up to three Destiny Stones per character by raising them to levels 20, 50 and 70.
The different features unveiled during the last Q&A of the game were also shown, such as the system of renaming friends or that of private messages.

The different elite monsters will have new attack patterns. In the livestream we were able to see the different Hypostasis with their new paterns.
