Activision and Treyarch have announced some of the content that PS4 players can expect to play in the Black Ops Cold War beta. As a reminder, early access on PS4 will begin 10AM PT on October 8th and the open beta to all PS4 users will be available two days later, on October 10th.
For Xbox One and PC gamers who have pre-ordered the digital version, you will be able to enjoy early access from October 15th, while the game will be in open beta for all platforms from October 17th until October 19th.
Please note, only players who have pre-ordered the digital version will be able to benefit from early access to the beta! If you have pre-ordered the physical version, you will have to wait for the open beta phase.
Regarding game modes, the beta promises "thrilling MP action thanks to quintessential Black Ops 6v6 combat in new and returning modes, 12v12 Combined Arms and the all-new 40 player Fireteam Dirty Bomb mode". You will need to use Field Upgrades and your Scorestreaks on enemies, perfect your loadout and more to perform on the battlefield.

Ahead of the beta, Activision has stated
During the beta, experience iconic Black Ops battles in traditional 6v6 modes, increased player count in 12v12 Combined Arms Domination, and an all new 40-player mode, Fireteam: Dirty Bomb. The beta will feature a selection of in-game multiplayer maps located in different locations around the world during the Cold War. Players can progress and rank through the beta-specific leveling system where loadout items including new weapons, covert spy tech via terrain upgrades, and badass scores can be. unlocked by gaining XP.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta will feature a mix of maps, modes, and playlists. Similar to previous betas, the Black Ops Cold War Beta will also include a progression system where players can earn XP in order to unlock new content for their loadouts, including weapons, gear, under Create-a-Class and Scorestreaks.
