Cyberwares are very important in Cyberpunk 2077, as having the right tools at your disposal will greatly simplify your life by providing you with more money, experience and equipment.

Cyberpunk 2077: What are the best cyberwares?

You'll have to wait until the end of the introduction and the rescue mission of Sandra Dorsett before going to see you ripperdoc for an upgrade.

Cyberpunk 2077 offers a wide range of cyberwares, which you can acquire throughout the game, in order to become a real killing machine. Unfortunately, you won't get to look like Adam Smasher, but there are still some interesting options.

How to Unlock Cyberwares

You have to be finished with the main mission "The Heist" for the rest of the city to be available, and with it all the other ripperdocs and their goods.

The epic and legendary implants often have a fairly high reputation prerequisite. You will have to make a name for yourself by doing various activities before you can buy them.

The price of cyberwares is certainly the biggest obstacle. For example, leg modifications start at 45,000 Eurodollars, and some legendary cyberwares approach 100 000 €$.

Finally, many types of Cyberwares have Attributes prerequisites. Those in the head require Intelligence, those in the skin require Technical Ability, those that increase life require Body, and those that slow down time or speed up attacks require Reflexes. This can go very high and require 18 or even 20 points for the legendary versions.

The best cyberwares

We advise you to go around all the ripperdocs nearby in order to consult their goods, as there are dozens and dozens of cyberwares. We are not going to list them all here, but rather those that stand out the most.

Cyberdecks

Cyberdecks have no intelligence prerequisites. Your combat hacking skills will depend more on your hardware than on your Skills and Advantages. Your priority will be to buy a better cyberdeck.

Legendary versions have reputation requirements in addition to being expensive. This allows you to hack faster, more often, and to enter more code for datamining. It also allows you to load more programs and thus be much better equipped.

Cyberpunk 2077

There are five models of legendary cyberdecks, each with its specialty, but we recommend the Tetratronic Rippler MK4 which isn't very expensive and is the most suitable for quickhacks.

Note that you can replace your cyberdeck with combat implants such as the Berserk, but they are much less versatile.

Reinforced tendons

This is a very expensive implant, worth 45,000 €$, but it will change your life. Reinforced Tendons will unlock the ability to double jump.

In practice, this will allow you to jump over walls, barriers and fences, and thus easily reach otherwise inaccessible places. Many missions are much easier to complete by entering through a second floor window, and access points are often on antennas hidden on the roofs.

Those implants also helps to reduce falling damages.

Cyberpunk 2077

An alternative is the implant that unlocks the super jump (that you use by holding down the jump key). However, the double jump is much faster, more comfortable and versatile.

The only advantage of the super jump is that it allows you to go a little higher, which is useful in a handful of cases.

The reinforced tendons are available at almost all ripperdocs.

Second Heart and Biomonitor

If you like playing in hard mode, or if you tend to die often, the Second Heart implant is a must have. You can find it at the ripperdoc south-west of the Wellspring district for 42,000 eddies. It requires 16 Body.

Cyberpunk 2077

An alternative, or rather an excellent complement, is the Biomonitor, which exists in 5 versions.

It restores health when you fall below the 15% life treshold. It won't save you from instant death, but it helps quite a lot. You can find the basic version everywhere, but the legendary version is only sold at the Aldecaldos Nomad camp. The easiest way to get there is to start the missions with Panam.

Cyberpunk 2077

Gorilla arms, Mantis blades and Projectile Launch Systems

Even if these arm implants do not live up to all their promises, they are still excellent tools. Gorilla arms don't allow you to break through walls or force doors — you will need to have enough Body points for this — but they still allow you to bash your opponents' heads in. Additionally, you will need them for the Beat on the Brat missions.

Cyberpunk 2077

Mantis Blades won't allow you to hang on walls, but you can find several legendary pairs in town without having to buy them, and they don't have any stats prerequisites. This allows you to free up a weapon slot and cut your enemies with class by pouncing on them.

Projectile Launch Systems, meanwhile, allow you to instantly kill high-level enemies from a distance.

Note that some missions will ask you to leave your weapons at the door, so having all this "on hand" is pretty useful on occasions.
