One of the brackern, Skarner is an immense crystalline scorpion from a hidden valley in Shurima. Known for their great wisdom and deep connection to magic, the brackern’s bodies are fused with powerful life crystals which hold the living thoughts and memories of their ancestors. In an age long past, they entered hibernation to avoid destruction—but recent, threatening events have roused Skarner, and he now strives to protect his dormant kin from those who would harm them.

Skarner's presence causes crystals to spawn in set locations around the map. Crystals can be captured by either team by standing on top of them. Capturing a crystal prevents them from being captured by the opposing team for 15 seconds.
While within range of a Crystal Spire, Skarner gains 70-120 Movement Speed and 43-160% Attack Speed, while restoring 2% of his maximum Mana every second. Spire radius is 1600.

Skarner lashes out with his claws, dealing physical damage equal to 20% total attack damage (+1/1.5/2/2.5/3% of target's maximum health) to all nearby enemies and charging himself with Crystal Energy for 5 seconds if a unit is struck.
If he casts Crystal Slash again while empowered by Crystal Energy, he also deals bonus magic damage equal to 15% total attack damage (+1/1.5/2/2.5/3%of target’s maximum health) (+0.3 ability power)
Basic attacks reduce the cooldown of Crystal Slash by 0.25 seconds (quadrupled against enemy champions).

Skarner summons a blast of crystalline energy which deals 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+40% of ability power) magic damage to all enemies in a line and slows them by 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% for 2 seconds, while also afflicting them with Crystal Venom for 5 seconds.
Skarner's next basic attack against a target afflicted by Crystal Venom deals 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 additional physical damage and stuns them for 1.25 seconds.
Stunning enemies with Fracture or suppressing them with Impale grants Skarner Crystal Charge (the buff for being near an active crystal) for the duration of the disable and reduces the cooldown of Fracture by the same amount.

Skarner suppresses an enemy champion for 1.75 seconds, dealing 60% of his total Attack Damage as physical damage and 20 / 60 / 100 (+50% of ability power) magic damage to them. During this time, Skarner can move freely and will drag his helpless victim around with him. When the effect ends, Skarner's target will be dealt the same amount of magic and physical damage again.
