League of Legends mid laner Tim "Nemesis" Lipovšek is sitting out of the 2021 spring split after mutually parting ways with FNATIC, the player revealed on social media.

The news comes after FNATIC announced the arrival of mid laner Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer to their lineup, a move that followed Luka "Perkz" Perkovic's departure from G2 Esports to Cloud9. With Nemesis becoming redundant, his days within FNATIC were counted, although he could have possibly joined FNATIC Rising, the Academy squad.

Nemesis's time within FNATIC was rocky, with the European fanbase singling him out frequently whenever the team struggled. Indeed, the player stuck to team assignments and conformed to whatever picks were strong within patch cycles, leading him to play control picks such as Orianna and Azir, roamers such as Twisted Fate, and assassins such as Akali.

Although the player performed his role to fruition for FNATIC, he drew frequent crtiticism as the team played around the side lanes and around Selfmade more frequently, leading him to sacrifice resources and map presence. Furthermore, as he was a minor part of their gameplan, he ranked last among mid laners during the 2020 LEC summer split with a 59.5% kill participation ratio, and conceded an average of 118 gold and 179 experience points at the 10-minute mark compared to his lane opponents.
