Cloud9's current mid laner Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer is reportedly heading to Fnatic in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) for 2021, according to Esportmaniacos' Pablo "Bloop" Suarez, French sports publication L'Equipe, and investigative journalist Jacob Wolf.
Nisqy would be returning to familiar ground as he played in Fnatic Academy during the 2017 Spring Split, before his journey to Team EnVyUs in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS). Should the move come to pass, he would be replacing Tim "Nemesis" Lipovšek, whose status is unknown at this time.
The move would be an upgrade for Fnatic, who nets a strong communicator and team player with great mechanics and a versatile champion pool. Solving their communication issues from the mid lane would be a strong step to their improvement internationally, particularly if AD Carry Martin "Rekkles" Larsson and support Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov prolong their stay as their contracts expire.
On Rekkles's case, nothing is certain: Cloud9's parting of ways with Nisqy would be synonymous with a massive offseason signing — that of Luka "Perkz" Perkovic as their mid laner. Should that happen, G2 Esports could be in play for Rekkles as they need an AD carry. The following situation may shape the 2020-2021 LEC offseason in a significant way, with many dominoes to fall on its wake.
