Valorant has been presented for several months now as the Counter-Strike Killer. With the release of the beta, many people including Slasher are starting to think that it indeed will kill the competition, but alongside CS:GO and not in front of it. A few days after Riot Games' statements about their vision for the game's esports future, Invitationals multiply and little by little the Valorant competitive scene is starting to make a place for itself.
Profiles emerge with professional players and streamers shining in tournaments and sign with the first organisations ready to invest money in Valorant. T1 positioned itself first with the recruitment of Brax. Today, it's TSM which openly proclaims they're looking for a roster.
Team Solo Mid — originally created for League of Legends — is now present in stream or with competitive teams on a dozen different games. It seems that they choose to do like the previous organisations by betting on streamers or players already known to the public for their future Valorant team.
Cloud9 joins T1 and NiP among the teams that are already preparing a Valorant roster. By announcing TenZ, Cloud9 takes little risk since it's an internal transfer.
