What would a Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration be without a lightsaber? Players have long feared that the Jedi's essential weapon wouldn't come into the game. Fortunately, following Risky Reels' event this Saturday, Epic Games made the famous lightsaber available in its battle royale.
"Fortunately" or not because this weapon seems to be rather devastating and brings us back to the good old memories of the Infinity Blade.
How to use the lighsaber?
You have two options to use it:
- Left click: triggers a forward attack. Note that serial hitting will make you alternate your attacks (frontal attack, lateral reel...)
- Right click: allows you to stop the shots and return the blaster shots in front of you. You can hold the right click while moving to make the protection last longer.
What we know for now is that this legendary new weapon can inflict 45 damage points and that it exists in four different colors. Each lighsaber has its own animations and unlike the sword — already criticized by players — the weapon takes only one slot allowing you to keep the rest of your equipment. If that doesn't make it strong enough, the lightsaber can also stop bullets.
To find these lighsabers, the most effective solution seems to be to open blue chests, but this remains to be confirmed... For the moment available in classic game, these Jedi weapons could well be part of the Winter Royale competition which is approaching fast, generating debate on the internet...
We'll have to wait to see if Epic Games will once again decide to keep a such devastating weapon for another major competition or not.
