You might have noticed that Riot Games decided to modernize the League of Legends logo in order to mark ten years of existence. Ten years!
Here at Millenium, we just can't really accept the idea that our beloved MOBA has been in our lives for so long. Ten years of ragequitting, of tilting, of inting; ten years of good memories, of beautiful victories, and salty defeats.
Fellow Summoners, we belong to community of over a hundred million players. To celebrate the anniversary, Riot have released a mindblowing statistic — at its average daily peak, eight million people are playing League of Legends at the same time.
For context, that peak concurrent figure is more than all players from the top ten games on Steam COMBINED. There might be a lot of games, but none can rival ours.
To celebrate, on October 15 (6:00pm PST), Riot will host a special edition of Riot PLS.
In the 10th Anniversary Edition Riot Pls, we'll take a look back at our favorite League moments and share a glimpse of the future, including a first look at this year's preseason changes and TFT's next big content update.
Every day we see about 8 million peak concurrent players in League.* That makes League the biggest PC game in the world—it's even bigger than the top ten games on Steam combined. Together, we’ve built a thriving community around the world, and we want to show our appreciation for all of you. If you're not able to catch the celebration on October 15th, don't worry. We'll rebroadcast the livestream throughout the following day.
