According to Randy Pitchford himself, the number of simultaneous players connected to Borderlands 3 has already far exceeded Borderlands 2, despite an Epic Game Store exclusivity that has caused some upheaval on the player side. The latter still have to deal with a good number of bugs, not always the most pleasant, and a poor PC optimization. It is difficult to list all the players' returns, but some even impact the end game progression and especially the guardian rank (a member of our team is currently at -14 guardian tokens).
However, the hunt for legendaries and easter eggs should resume shortly, as Gearbox has informed the community via Twitter that the teams are working on various comfort options, but also and especially on performance improvements.
