If you had the opportunity to build your perfect team with four players from each role, who would you choose? The general managers, head coaches, commentators and media came together to choose *the* best team possible for this second season!

2019 Overwatch League Role Stars revealed!

We all have what we can call a "perfect team" in mind. Whether it is composed of all the members of the same winning team like San Francisco Shock or Vancouver Titans, or a mix of various talents from different teams, we all dream of seeing it in real life playing in the Overwatch League.

To build this list, Blizzard brought together the general managers and head coaches of each team, as well as commentators and media. They each voted for 4 players per role. After counting the votes, here are the 12 winners!

Role Stars: Damage

Corey "Corey" Nigra, Washington Justice

For Washington Justice, nothing really went well during the first three stages. It was before the establishment of Role Lock during Stage 4 and the revelation of the war machine Corey! His stats on Hanzo and Widowmaker are insane and are a big part of his team's recent results.

  • 1st in final blows/10 mins as Hanzo in teamfights (19.3)
  • 1st in hero damage/10 mins as Hanzo in teamfights (14,807)
  • 1st in first elimination rate as Hanzo (19.7%)
  • 1st in first elimination rate as Widowmaker (20.1%)
  • 1st in final blows/10 mins as Widowmaker in teamfights (15.6)

Jin-Hyeok "DDing" Yang, Shanghai Dragons

Shanghai has radically changed since Season 1 of the Overwatch League. DDing has changed the game thanks to his Pharah and Sombra. They were two striking elements that made it possible to transform the team from zero to hero.

  • 1st in teamfight win rate with Barrage (66.8%)
  • 2nd in hero damage/10 mins as Pharah in teamfights (16,311)
  • 5th in teamfight win rate as Pharah (57%)
  • 2nd in hero damage/10 mins as Sombra in teamfights (10,311)
  • 5th in teamfight win rate as Sombra (50%)

HyoJong "Haksal" Kim, Vancouver Titans

This ultimate team could not have been complete without at least one DPS from the strongest team this season. And who better to represent it than the rookie of the year? As impressive on Brigitte as on Genji, Haksal has been able to fit into both GOAT and 2-2-2.

  • 1st in hero damage/10 mins as Brigitte in teamfights (8,082)
  • 1st in healing/10 mins as Brigitte in teamfights (13,584)
  • 1st in final blows/10 mins as Genji in teamfights (16.0)
  • 1st in teamfight win rate with Dragonblade as Genji (67.3%)
  • 2nd in final blows/10 mins as Mei in teamfights (8.2)

Jay "sinatraa" Won, San Francisco Shock

How can we not mention the OWL Season 2 MVP? Like Haksal, sinatraa has been a key asset to his team throughout this season, both on his Zarya and his Doomfist. Head to head with the Titans, the Shocks deserved this special place in this roster.

  • 1st in hero damage/10 mins as Doomfist in teamfights (12,414)
  • 1st in teamfight win rate as Doomfist (56%)
  • 1st in hero damage/10 mins as all heroes in teamfights (15,577)
  • 1st in hero damage/10 mins as Zarya in teamfights (16,488)
  • 1st in teamfight win rate with Graviton Surge (69.1%)

Role Stars: Tank

Hyo-Bin "Choihyobin" Choi, San Francisco Shock

Back to San Francisco with the selection of Choihyobin! We saw him shine on his D.Va and Chopper, and he will be the only Flex Tank on this star team.

  • 1st in teamfight win rate as D.Va (59%)
  • 3rd in deaths/10 mins (fewest) in teamfights as D.Va (4.4)
  • 1st in teamfight win rate as Roadhog (66%)
  • 2nd in final blows/10 mins as Roadhog in teamfights (13.4)
  • 2nd in hero damage/10 mins as Roadhog in teamfights (9,426)

Matthew "Super" DeLisi, San Francisco Shock

Let's continue with San Francisco Shocks and Super, their main tank! His talent has allowed his team to be among the best ones during the first stages!

  • 2nd in teamfight win rate with Primal Rage (69.4%)
  • 2nd in teamfight win rate with Earthshatter (68.2%)
  • 3rd in hero damage/10 mins as Reinhardt in teamfights (11,722)
  • 3rd in final blows/10 mins as Reinhardt in teamfights (8.7)
  • 3rd in teamfight win rate as Reinhardt (59%)

Qiulin "Guxue" Xu, Hangzhou Spark

Guxue is taking a well-deserved place in this team of stars! We were all waiting for him after the 2018 Overwatch World Cup. He didn't disappoint us, bringing his team to Playoffs with his performances on Reinhardt, Orisa and Winston.

  • 2nd in final blows/10 mins in as Orisa in teamfights (7.3)
  • 4th in teamfight win rate with Reinhardt (53%)
  • 3rd in teamfight win rate with Primal Rage (67.3%)
  • 5th in final blows/10 mins as Winston in teamfights (8.0)
  • 5th in hero damage/10 mins as Winston in teamfights (10,952)

Dong-Gyu "Mano" Kim, New York Excelsior

Do we still have to introduce Mano? His achievements on Reinhardt, Orisa and Winston allowed him to be recruited — and to stay — within one of the best Overwatch teams.

  • 1st in final blows/10 mins as Reinhardt in teamfights (9.3)
  • 1st in teamfight win rate as Reinhardt (60%)
  • 1st in teamfight win rate with Earthshatter (70.5%)
  • 3rd in final blows/10 mins as Winston in teamfights (8.1)
  • 5th in teamfight win rate as Winston (53%)

Role Stars: Support

Ho-Jin "IDK" Park, Hangzhou Spark

If Guxue has been great as a tank all season long, iDK on his Lucio has done the work on the healers' side.

  • 2nd in environmental kills/10 mins as Lúcio (0.49)
  • 5th in hero damage/10 mins as Lúcio in teamfights (6,448)
  • 5th in deaths/10 mins (fewest) as Lúcio in teamfights (5.1)
  • 7th in teamfight win rate as Lúcio (51%)
  • 4th in teamfight win rate with Amplification Matrix (67.0 %)

Young-Seo "Kariv" Park, Los Angeles Valiant

Los Angeles Valiant has had its ups and downs this season. After a failed start, Kariv was one of the elements that allowed his team to move up in the ranking — until they were close to the end of the Season Playoffs. His Ana and his clutch sleep darts make him one of the best healers of the league.

  • 4th in final blows/10 mins as Zenyatta in teamfights (6.6)
  • 5th in teamfight win rate as Zenyatta (53%)
  • 1st in enemies slept/10 mins (7.3)
  • 4th in final blows/10 mins as Ana in teamfights (3.9)
  • 10th in teamfight win rate as Ana (51%)

Grant “Moth” Espe, San Francisco Shock

With four members in this role stars, we better understand the San Francisco Shock's tremendous performance this season. Moth's Lucio and Baptiste are picks on which his team can count.

  • 1st in teamfight win rate as Lúcio (58%)
  • 2nd in healing/10 mins as Lúcio in teamfights (8,424)
  • 2nd in hero damage/10 mins in teamfights as Baptiste (4,977)
  • 2nd in teamfight win rate with Amplification Matrix (71.4%)
  • 3rd in final blows/10 mins in teamfights as Baptiste (4.7)

Ju-Seok "Twilight" Lee, Vancouver Titans

JjoNak was MVP of the previous season. But in this all-star team, he was dethroned by Twilight — who has done even better than him. Forcing the focus of his opponents, he gave his team the free field they dreamed of to play their game and crush their ennemies.

  • 1st in hero damage/10 mins as Zenyatta in teamfights (12,696)
  • 1st in teamfight win rate as Zenyatta (59%)
  • 2nd in final blows/10 mins as Zenyatta in teamfights (6.7)
  • 2nd in hero damage/10 mins as Ana in teamfight (5,485)
  • 3rd in final blows/10 mins as Ana in teamfights (4.5)
