The first day of action at the FIFA eWorld Cup, the biggest event on the FIFA 19 esports calendar, has drawn to a close.
Five of the seven group games for each of the four groups have now been played and the occasion seems to have got the better of the two favourites for the title while it's been a comfortable day for last year's top two players.
Here's how each group is looking like after today's action.
GROUP A
All three British players in Group A find themselves in the top four spots, but only just.
Tassal "Tass" Rushan started the day strongly but threw away a commanding lead in his game with Tom Stokes to see the Rebel FC man go top of the group and Tass land in second place.
The bookmaker's favourite for the title, Donovan "F2Tekkz" Hunt, struggled to find form but squeaked his way into the qualifying places on goal difference.
With just two points separating the top six spots in this group, it's anyone's game tomorrow morning when those final two group games begin. Could Tekkz make a shock exit?
GROUP B
He's looking to be the first person ever to win back-to-back FIFA world titles and Mossad "Msdossary" Aldossary looks in good form to achieve that goal.
The Saudi Arabian sits comfortably atop Group B undefeated and is the only player who has secured a spot in the knockouts.
Fouad "Rafsou" Fares finishes the day second after a string of dominant performances.
Fellow Frenchman Lucas "DaXe" Cuillerier is just behind him but has Msdossary's teammates at Rogue, Nawid "GoalMachine" Noorzai and Niklas "Nraseck" Raseck, breathing down his neck.
If results go his way and he wins both matches tomorrow, Kilian "Zidane10" Pita Ossario could pull off a real surprise and sneak through to the knockout stages.
GROUP C
The top-ranked PS4 player, Nicolas "nicolas99fc" Villalba, had a disastrous start in Group C, losing his first three matches before clawing his record back to 2-3 at the close of play today.
He is joined outside of the qualification places by two more of the top talents in the group in Lev "Lev" Vinken and Fatih "Ustun" Ustun, but all three still could qualify tomorrow.
Mohammed "MoAuba" Harkous has emerged as the shock leader of Group C and looks to be playing his best FIFA of the year.
Marko "Marko" Brijeski was the real dark horse of this group, however. The lowest ranked PS4 player blew Nicolas away in his first match of the day and went on to pick up two more wins to see him in third.
GROUP D
Group D incredibly features three of the four players that are currently unbeaten after the day's action.
Stefano "Pinna" Pinna and Corentin "Maestro" Thuillier are both without a defeat and occupy the top two spots with 11 points each.
Gonçalo "RastaArtur" Pinto is also undefeated, but after drawing three of his matches finds himself in fourth behind the group's dark horse, Henrique "Zezinho" Lempke.
Chris "Didychrislito" Holly has performed well but a frustrating final match against Maestro sees him just outside the top four but is still in a good position to progress.
Fellow American Joksan "Joksan" Redona, however, had a disappointing showing and requires a small miracle to make it through to the knockouts.
