US Overwatch World Cup 2019 roster shortlist unveiled

The Overwatch World Cup is a battle for global supremacy each year. The first two editions were both won by a Korean team that dominated the game in every way imaginable.

However, the United States team may well shine this year. The roster shortlist of twelve is made up exclusively of pro players from the Overwatch League, so they are certainly used to the pressure of the big stage — and they have already proven themselves.

The shortlist will now be reduced to a final roster of seven players: two tanks, two DPS, two supports, and a substitute (most likely a DPS).

Main Tank

  • Austin "Muma" Wilmot
  • Matthew “super” DeLisi
  • Russell “FCTFCTN” Campbell

Off Tank

  • Indy "SPACE" Halpern (selected)

DPS

  • João Pedro “Hydration” Goes Telles
  • Jay “sinatraa” Won
  • Dante “Danteh” Cruz
  • Corey "Corey" Nigra
  • Kyle “KSF” Frandanisa

Heal

  • Nikola “sleepy” Andrews
  • Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty
  • Grant “moth” Espe

The third edition of the Overwatch World Cup takes place starting November 1 at BlizzCon.
