LoL: Is this Lee Sin a genius or incredibly lucky?

With over 150 champions in League of Legends, it's no surprise that combo possibilities are discovered every day. This is the case of this Lee Sin but was it luck or skill?

Sometimes the craziest moves in League of Legends are made by anonymous people rather than professionals. This is the case of this completely crazy action, where it is very difficult to determine the share of luck and skill.

Skill? Luck?

Lee Sin is one of the most complex champions to master on Riot Games' MOBA. Having excellent mobility, it is his way of positioning himself in relation to his team and the opponents, which makes the difference between a good and a bad Lee Sin. However, in the video, only game intelligence is highlighted, and for once, the Blind Monk's mobility is not the star of the action. The latter depicts a duel between a Leblanc and the Lee Sin. While the mistress of the Black Rose sect tries to prevent her opponent's back, the latter manages to damage her and proc Leblanc's passive, revealing her clone.

If the sorceress cautiously retreats once her misdeed has been accomplished, the opposing player decides that the action is not over, and casts her ultimate Dragon's Rage on the clone. At first one might think of a fail, a rookie mistake. But Leblanc's clone always teleports towards her, if a certain distance is crossed. By sending the clone in an opposite direction, Lee Sin activates this property, and the clone inflicts shock damage by telescoping the original, to finish off the latter. Everything is perfect in this action, because the slightest mistake in timing would have given a very different result. Within a few tenths of a second, Lee Sin's player would have simply wasted his ultimate.

League of Legends

A legendary champion

Years after its release, Lee Sin continues to amaze players and viewers alike. It was with him that a player was the first to give his name to an action in League of Legends. It was the famous Insec, where the Blind Monk dashes in the middle (or behind) the opposing team, sends a carry towards his teammates with his Dragon's Rage, while sending Sonde Sonore on the touched champion. When the latter lands in the Lee Sin's team, the jungler can reactivate his Q with the Resonating Blow to find himself in the middle of his allies. Throughout the competitive history of LoL, many teams have lost a mate in this way without being able to react.

Although he's rarely been the top meta jungler stat-wise, Lee Sin is a staple in Summoner's Rift. All professional junglers are able to play it very well, because it remains a safe and potentially dangerous pick in any situation. Very few champions have been able to cross the ages in this way, and to be effective every season since their release. And despite this, after ten years, Lee Sin can still surprise us.
