You probably know him thanks to the Pixel Wars as well as his mythical phrase "the museum will not return" , xQc has recently fallen into a dangerous addiction: gambling . A few days ago, he admitted having lost no less than 1.85 million dollars in this type of game. Subsequently, his relatives began to seriously worry…
xQc and Twitch money
Félix Lengyel , his real name, is one of the biggest international Twitch streamers. He started his adventure on the platform a few years ago, playing Overwatch. Quickly, he made a name for himself in the industry and with more and more subscribers, he decided to turn to varied content, now being a multi-content streamer (gaming, react, …).
Since 2019, and thanks to the streaming platform exclusively, he has earned more than 8 million dollars and now accumulates more than 10 million followers! Figures that are enough to turn heads although its capital has, for some time, melted well.
In a stream with the famous streamer Pokimane, the subject of gambling was discussed, xQc sometimes playing it live.
In this Twitch clip, xQc admits to being addicted to this practice , adding "I lost $1.85 million last month" . The extract had the effect of a bomb on the networks, and the gaming press quickly took hold of the subject. Dexerto therefore made an article about it, titled: “xQc unveils multi-million dollar gambling loss in new podcast with Pokimane” .
The family gets involved
Dexerto's article then reached those close to xQc, including his father, who called him in full stream.
The call comes during a react stream of xQc. He answers, and asks "What's going on?", his father then retorts "How the hell is going on. Dexerto?" . Very worried , he said to her, "You're my little boy. Should I be worried?" only to have the streamer reassure him, "No. Why would you care?" .
The conversation lasts a few minutes and xQc's father seems really saddened by the situation, telling him that he was "close to taking a plane" to come and join him. The streamer then tells him that losing that much money, "it happens" and that he better "stop reading those kind of clickbait articles" .
On May 1, xQc said he wanted to "reset and chill" and take some time for himself . After all these events, we hope that the streamer will work on his addiction, and thus reassure his loved ones.
