Cloud9 and 100 Thieves prevail in second week of LCS Summer Split

Cloud9 and 100 Thieves emerged from the second week of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) with their heads held high. Both teams went 3-0, further pushing themselves in the top of the standings.

For Cloud9, the results are an especially welcome sight. The team came off a rough 1-2 opening weekend after subbing in bot laner k1ng, replacing Zven, and faced harsh criticism. Against FlyQuest, CLG, and Dignitas, Cloud9 redeemed itself. 100 Thieves' weekend started with a hard-fought victory against TSM. Afterwards, 100 Thieves continued their march of dominance by winning against Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses.

With their wins, Cloud9 and 100 Thieves push themselves up further in the standings. Cloud9 is now the sole number one team in the LCS again, with an aggregated 17-7 score. 100 Thieves is now tied with TSM at a shared second spot, having an overall record of 16-8.

Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses, who both went 2-1 in the weekend, also advanced their scoreline. For CLG, FlyQuest, Dignitas, TSM, and Golden Guardians, not more than a 1-2 result could be achieved. Immortals ended the weekend winless, going 0-3.
