In a statement released on the official PlayStation Blog, SIE President and CEO Jim Ryan revealed the return of the programme, slated to run March through June.
Initially announced last March, the Play at Home initiative gave all PlayStation owners two games for free: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and Journey. Users in Germany and China received Knack 2 instead of the Uncharted collection.
Sony also earmarked $10m to support indie developers as part of a special fund.
This time round, users can claim PS4 title Ratchet & Clank between March 1-31. Once redeemed, the game is yours to keep indefinitely.
"In these historic times, the team at PlayStation wanted to thank the community by giving something back," Ryan said. "These days, we could all use something to look forward to and another reason to stay safely socially distanced, so we are happy to be able to offer a free selection of great games and some entertainment offers."
From March 25, users will be also able to gain 'extended access' to either Funimation or Wakanim, Sony's anime-focused streaming services.
Users who download the relevant apps — Funimation operates in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, while Wakanim is Funimation's European division — starting on March 25 will benefit.
New Funimation users will receive an additional 90 days on top of the initial 14-day trial, while new Wakanim users will receive 90 days free.
More details on other free games and entertainment will be released 'in the coming weeks'.
