After being a PS4 exclusive since its 2019 release, Bend Studio's game has been announced for PC. Here's what we know so far.

If the State of Play announcement of Thursday, February 25 is getting a little more attention, the news of Days Gone on PC is no less interesting. Jim Ryan says it himself: more and more games exclusively for PlayStation will be released on PC too. Regarding Days Gone, its release on the platform will be accompanied by several new features.

When will Days Gone be released on PC?

No specific date has yet been released, but Days Gone will be available in Spring 2021 on PC. The PC version will contain new features such as:

  • Support for ultra-wide monitors
  • An increased frame rate
  • Highly improved graphics
  • An increased level of detail
  • Improved fields of vision and distances.

 

This PC port will also include New Game Plus, Survival Mode and Challenge Mode: options that were added to the PS4 version as free updates.

According to Jim Ryan, Days Gone is the first game in a long list to come to PC (after the success of Horizon Zero Dawn). The president of SIE has also spoken on the subject via the GQ-Magazine site.

“There is an opportunity to expose our great games to a wider audience and to recognize the economics of game development, which are not always straightforward. The cost of producing games increases with each cycle, as the The caliber of intellectual property is improving. Plus, it's easier to make it available to console owners. So it's a pretty simple decision for us to make. "
