While the Heavensturn event has started in Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida shared a few words with the Warriors of Light to start 2021.
Greetings the players was not the only goal of this message as he thanked the players for their support as the game still thrives.
The message also included a teaser for what could be the next expansion.
Yoshi-p clearly stated that this teaser was related to February's announcement, we could then expect to see more of FFXIV's next expansion at that time.
"While we could ponder the meaning of this verse and make a few guesses, the upcoming FFXIV Announcement Showcase planned for February might help us make more sense out of it. As the day draws near and we make our preparations, I’m as excited as anyone to see what this event has in store." said Yoshi-p, making a direct link with February's announcement.
We could then expect to see more of FFXIV's next expansion at that time.
User Zeshou also noted on Reddit that the messages were slightly different in the French and German versions. While they have the same meaning, some people could see more hints about the future story.
French version translated in English:
With our mouths closed, we pile stone upon stone,
To form a staircase leading to the lands of knowledge,
As well as another pointing to the heavens of existence.

German version translated in English:

We seek wisdom in the deep earth.
