Genshin Impact update 1.2 arrives the day after tomorrow with a mess of content and especially new characters and equipment. Today, it's via the official website of the game that we have been able to have information on the new weapons as well as the two new artifact sets.
First, let's come back to the different new weapons by presenting them to you. Let's start directly with the new 5-star weapon called "Summit Shaper".
Summit Shaper (One-handed sword) [5 ★]
Weapon Details
- Obtaining: "Epitome Invocation" Wishes
- Effect: Increases wielder's Shield Strength (when the wielder is on the field, any currently active shield absorbs an additional amount of DMG). On hit, gives an ATK boost (max 5 stacks). When under the protection of a shield, the ATK boost effect is increased.
Festering Desire (One-Handed Sword) [4 ★]
Weapon Details
- How to Obtain: Complete the story quest "Princeps Cretaceus Chapter: Act I" and the event quest "Festering Desire".
- Effect: Increases the damage and critical strike rate of the elemental skill.
Additional effects during the "Chalk and Dragon" event
- Increases damage dealt via Scarlet Quartzes.
- Attacks against enemies in the Dragonspine area gain a critical rate bonus.
- Reduces the impact speed of the Sheer Cold (Dragonspine area only)
- Deal more damage to enemies in the Dragonspine area
Snow-Tombed Starsilver (Two-Handed Sword) [4 ★]
Weapon Details
- How to Obtain: Complete certain conditions while exploring the Dragonspine Area to obtain the weapon and unlock his Forge Blueprint.
- Effect: Normal and charged attacks have a chance to generate an icicle that deals area physical damage. If the enemy is affected by the Cryo element, the damage of the stalactite will be greater. This effect is subject to a cooldown.
Dragonspine Spear (Polearm) [4 ★]
Weapon Details
- How to Obtain: Complete the quest "The Festering Fang" (unlockable by finding a "Strange Teeth" in Wyrmrest Valley) to obtain the weapon and unlock his forge blueprint.
- Effect: Normal and charged attacks have a chance to generate an icicle that deals area physical damage. If the enemy is affected by the Cryo element, the damage of the stalactite will be greater. This effect is subject to a cooldown.
Frostbearer (Catalyst) [4 ★]
Weapon Details
- How to Obtain: Reach the Frostbearing Tree offering level 10 to obtain its Forge Blueprint and be able to craft it.
- Effect: Normal and charged attacks have a chance to generate an icicle that deals area physical damage. If the enemy is affected by the Cryo element, the damage of the stalactite will be greater. This effect is subject to a cooldown.

Unlock the dungeon "Peak of Vindagnyr"
Speak with Adventurer Iris at the Dragonspine encampment to unlock and complete the quest "In the Mountains".

Detail of effects
- 2 Piece Set: Grants bonus Cryo damage.
- 4 piece set: increases the critical rate when the character attacks an enemy affected by Cryo; grants an additional critical rate bonus if the enemy is frozen.
“Heart of Depth” Set (4 ★ and 5 ★)

- Set of 2 pieces: grants bonus Hydro damage.
- 4 Piece Set: Increases damage dealt by normal and charged attacks for a certain amount of time after using an elemental skill.
