Even though winter is coming its way, many have yet to have the chance to have fun in the snow. For the disappointed and impatient, however, there is an alternative solution: play Fortnite. The snow has taken hold of the Battle Royale and with Operation Snowdown there are plenty of surprises to have fun. In the trailer, Epic Games gave a preview of what to expect for players.
Introduction and feedback of new features
As part of this Operation Snowdown, several features have been introduced and some are making a big comeback! This is the opportunity to gain altitude or bring out your best snowman cosplay.
- Stormwing planes: the video allowed to admire all the maneuverability of the X-4 Aquilons. Between the loops and the twists, we hope you have a good stomach in before you embark on the epic aerial battles to come.
- Sneaky Snowmandos: Fortnite isn't only fight is also for survival. The Sneaky Snowmando will allow you to go unnoticed in this winter setting. An essential item for campers.

Temporary game mode rotations
Operation Snowdown will also be an opportunity to enjoy several fun temporary game modes. We already knew Air Royale, but there will also be a new kid. Armed with shock wave grenades, players will have to send their opponents waltzing into the mighty murderous storm. The name of the mode is not yet known, but this 2.0 snowball fight promises some good fun.
There will also obviously be a whole list of cosmetic novelties with skins and emotes to discover or rediscover. By completing the daily quests, there will also be free rewards to collect.
