It's common practice for Apex Legends developers to participate in Q&A on Reddit. This gives players the opportunity to learn a little more about the upcoming features in the battle royale.
That's what happened recently when a player asked whether a "mark all as seen" button would be deployed in-game. Senior Game Designer Daniel Klein answered: "Good news! That's probably coming next patch! John Hodgson put that one in not too long ago".
What will it be used for? When you unlock multiple items in your inventory, you'll no longer need to go through all the menus to clear the icons. Quite convenient!
It would be a minor change improving the quality of life of players. This is something the developers have done a lot during the launch of Season 7 with lots of adjustments.
One of them was the feature that prevents other players from grabbing Replicator items for the first five seconds — unless they're pinged.
In the case of the "mark all as seen" button, this would notably allow players who buy lots of Apex Packs not to have to spend too much time in the menus.
Concerning the date of its implementation, Klein mentioned the next patch that should arrive in January. At least that's what he said in an another comment about Octane Jump Pad glitch.
Don't expect to see this new feature for the Holo-Day Bash event starting December 1!
Apex Legends will begin the Christmas celebrations on December 1. The 2020 Holo-Day Bash will mark the return of the Winter Express limited-time mode and a new set of skins.
