A new feature will soon appear in Overwatch. Called Priority Pass, it will be designed to put you at the top of the queue — good news for DPS players.

New Priority Pass system soon in Overwatch

In the latest developer update, Jeff Kaplan has announced the upcoming releases for Overwatch. On November 17, players will be able to enjoy the Restoration Challenge, featuring Symmetra. Some changes will also be added to the PTR with a brand new feature that could well change the vision of queues for some players.

As we all know, waiting times for quick and competitive games can be a real scourge especially if you're playing as a DPS. Blizzard has communicated about this many times, trying in vain to correct the problem.

The latest solution would be the priority pass, a feature that rewards versatile players by allowing them to pass in priority in queues.

To access these passes, you must register in the flex queue. In other words, if you select all the roles for your quick or ranked games, then you can receive bonuses.

These rewards don't just come when you've won the game as a flex. Iif you lose your game, you'll still get priority passes — but if you win, you'll receive many more.

In total, you'll be able to accumulate up to 40 passes — although Jeff Kaplan seems to be saying that this number will change soon. This allows you to use your bonuses only when you want to.

Want to rank as a DPS during your lunch break but know you're going to have to wait at least ten minutes before you can play? The priority pass is the solution to your problem — at least that's what the developers seem to think.

The purpose of this initiative is to reduce the waiting time for all players, even those who don't play flex. To evaluate its effectiveness, we'll have to wait until we can test them on the PTR and live servers.

Overwatch Symmetra's Restoration Challenge is coming soon

Starting November 17, Overwatch players will have the opportunity to participate in a series of challenges featuring Symmetra. For the occasion, various rewards will be available, including a brand new skin.
