Polish League of Legends support Oskar "Vander" Bogdan may be on his way to Misfits Gaming for the 2021 season according to investigative journalist Jacob Wolf. The move would end his two-year tenure within Rogue, which he capped with a World Championship appearance.
The move follows Rogue's reported decision to promote Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus to the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) lineup, which would make the top-tier support redundant. With the team going young across the board save for the top lane (with veteran Andrei "Odoamne" Pascu joining the lineup), Rogue's attempt at optimizing their lineup has cost Vander his position.
Before then, Vander shaped Rogue's fate in the Polish Ultraliga circuit, winning the 2019 spring split, then the LEC lineup's fate starting that year's summer split. Over the course of two years, the lineup went from competing in the European Regional League circuit to contending for a Worlds seed, which they secured by finishing first in the 2020 LEC summer split's group stage. Despite showing strong play throughout his tenure, Vander was left looking at the possibility of falling out of the LEC.
However, with Misfits Gaming's reported hire, the support may instead help with Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz's growth, as well as legitimize their bot lane alongside strong mechanical carry Kasper "Kobbe" Kobberup. In joining them, the Polish support brings widespread fixes to team communication, an area where Misfits fell short upon substituting Petr "denyk" Haramach out of the lineup.
Following the move, Misfits can switch its focus to hiring a capable top laner to replace the departing Danny "Dan Dan" Le Comte, one that could play well on the weak side considering the strength of Misfits' solo lanes. However, their options grow smaller by the day, with their best free agency option headed to Rogue instead.
