Assassin's Creed Valhalla is less than a month away, but Ubisoft continues to line up more content for the series beyond a Netflix live-action adaptation. The two giants will also team up to bring an Assassin's Creed anime to Netflix.
“For more than 10 years, millions of fans around the world have helped shape the Assassin’s Creed brand into an iconic franchise,” said Jason Altman, Head of Ubisoft Film & Television - Los Angeles. “We’re thrilled to create an Assassin’s Creed series with Netflix and we look forward to developing the next saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe.”
The show will be executive produced by Ubisoft Film & Television’s Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik. A search is currently underway for the showrunner.
This is similar to Netflix's strategy for The Witcher, which will receive an anime adaptation early next year following the release of a live-action series. Netflix is passionate about ramping up video game adaptations after the success of Castlevania and The Witcher.

Fans might be a little skeptical of an Assasin's Creed series thanks to the 2016 film featuring Michael Fassbender. It has an 18% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 43% audience score. Netflix's track record hopes to change that.
