Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6: Start date, times, weapons, Warzone subway, Operators

It's official. After the Minnesota ROKKR leaked the starting date for Season 6 of Modern Warfare and Warzone, a starting date of September 29th has been confirmed.

To whet the appetite of players, Activision uploaded a teaser trailer, showing a glimpse of what new content is coming to both Modern Warfare and Warzone during the new season.

You can find the trailer below:

What's new?

Operators - Nikolai and Farah

Joining the ever-expanding range of Operators are Farah and Nikolai.

Farah, founder of the Uszikstani Liberation Force, is a familiar face that many players should recognize from the Modern Warfare campaign, while Nikolai is a long-time comrade of Captain Price.

During the trailer, the two can be seen attempting to restore power to the Verdansk subway system. The duo are also looking for mysterious villain "Mr.Z" who is causing all sorts of chaos in the streets of the city.

Farah will be available at Tier 0 of the Season 6 Battle Pass, and Nikolai will be available to players once they reach Tier 100.

Warzone Subway

Having been leaked a while ago, the Verdansk subway system is open for business.

The introduction of the subway is the second major change to the infrastructure of the Warzone map following the addition of the overground Cargo Train which was added at the beginning of Season 5.

In the trailer, a map complete with seven stations appeared.

  • Verdansk International Airport
  • Verdansk Stadium
  • Gorengard Lumber Yard
  • Downtown Tavorsk District
  • Barakett Promenade East
  • Verdansk Train Station
  • Torsk Bloc

Weapons - New AR

At the very end of the trailer, Nikolai can be seen holding what appears to be a brand-new assault rifle, known as the AS VAL.

Even though it's a small clip, how do we know its name? Prominent leaker BKTOOR had posted a small clip of the new rifle in action back on September 6th.

Along with the AS VAL, it is rumoured that a remastered iteration of the R700 sniper rifle and the AA-12 shotgun will also be making appearances at some point during the new season.

There's also one burning question on our minds, IS THE NUKE GOING TO GO OFF?! We shall wait and see....

Stay tuned for the latest Season 6 news!
