Valorant, like many online games, is not immune to toxic behavior. Whether it's written, spoken, or in the course of the game itself, other players can spoil your gaming experience in a number of ways.
There aren't many ways to deal with the issue, other than to suffer in silence and report those who behave badly. As a small consolation, emails will be sent out when one of your reports has been decisive.
When you meet a toxic partner don't hesitate to report him/her! It's sometimes frustrating not to have a follow-up and you hope that the player in question will be quickly punished or banished. As there has been no specific follow-up until now, it's impossible to have a precise idea of the effectiveness of your reports.
Now, Riot Games has announced that players will start receiving email feedback when one of their reports has led to a penalty. These emails only concern future punishments and aren't retroactive for past toxic behavior. If this doesn't fix all the harm that was done, it's still a small but welcome satisfaction.
As a reminder, there is currently a list of reasons to report a player:
- Inappropriate communication (Text)
- Inappropriate communication (Voice Chat)
- Cheating
- Leaving a game
- Inappropriate or offensive name
- Sabotage of the team
- Disrespectful behavior
- Threating
It's possible to tick more than one option, especially if the threats and insults are accompanied by rage quit, for example.
