CoD esports veteran Patrick "Aches" Price has been released from the LA Guerrillas following a disappointing first season.

Call of Duty League: Aches leaves the Los Angeles Guerrillas

The Los Angeles Guerrillas has announced that two-time world champion Patrick "Aches" Price has left the team before the end of the regular season.

The 2014 and 2018 world champion initially signed to the Guerrillas as team captain but after a string of disappointing results, Aches quickly found himself on the bench in place of new and upcoming talent.

The Guerrillas had shown some signs of improvement in recent weeks but seeing as Aches has spent the majority of the season warming the bench, the news of his departure doesn't come as a surprise.

With the end of the season coming soon, it is unclear as to what is next for the North American veteran. Will another franchise take the gamble on Call of Duty's villain? Or is this the end of the line for one of the most successful and recognisable players in the entire world?

Given the amount of new talent that has broken through into the top tier of competitive Call of Duty throughout the Modern Warfare season, this may be the end of an illustrious career.

We wish Aches the very best in his future endeavors.
