The Call of Duty League (CDL) has confirmed that the final tournaments of the season will be played online.
With over $4 million on the line, the 12 franchise teams will be competing online for the rest of the season, with the CDL introducing new measures to maintain the highest levels of competitive integrity.
New Additions
All players will be equipped with a camera looking at their console, monitor and controller to ensure no foul play, a new veto process in order to ensure matches are played in the most fair and neutral environment and the CDL has also improved its production, technical and officiating staff teams to make sure technical issues are dealt with quickly.
The League has done everything it can in order competitive integrity is maintained since the league has switched to an online format but with several issues already occurring, it's great to see the next steps being put in place ahead of the biggest tournament of the season.
As much as everyone would want the tournament to be played offline, the safety of all players and staff has to come first.
