Incoming pricing changes to League of Legends & Teamfight Tactics

To account for new tax laws, currency shifts, inflation, and consistency across regions, Riot Games will update their global pricing on July 15.

Incoming pricing changes to League of Legends & Teamfight Tactics

As every year, Riot Games will adjust their prices in League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics to take into account inflation, taxes, and regional differences. These changes, usually implemented around March and April, were delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

From July 1 to 15, all regions will receive extra "bonus RP" on all RP purchases so players can stock up before the big changes. During that period, there will be a 100% increase in the bonus RP you get from buying RP in larger increments.

RP price changes

Latin America: Currency fluctuations usually only cause a slight adjustment in the price of RP, but many countries have introduced new taxes on digital products that have had a greater impact. Below is an estimate of the price changes for RP in store, based on these two factors:

  • Mexico: + 19% (VAT Portion: 16%)
  • Colombia: + 11%
  • Costa Rica: + 16% (VAT Portion: 13%)
  • Chile: + 16% (VAT Portion: 19%)
  • Uruguay: + 11%
  • Peru: + 5%
  • USD - Latin America: + 5.5%

Brazil: due to inflation and the devaluation of the Brazilian real against the USD, we will have to increase the price of RP by 9%.

Teamfight Tactics Mobile

The adjustments here are intended to adjust some price differences between the contents of Teamfight Tactics Mobile and those of the PC version.

In the following regions, the price of content in TFT Mobile will decrease. This reduction can reach 20% depending on the object, with a greater reduction percentage for the least expensive objects.

  • New Zealand
  • Europe
  • UAE
  • Egypt
  • Japan (Individual Little Legend Eggs only)

In the following countries, the price of content in TFT Mobile will increase. This increase can also reach 20% depending on the object, with a higher percentage increase for the less expensive objects.

  • Mexico
  • Colombia
  • Costa Rica
  • Chile
  • Peru

In the following countries, the price of the 10 + 1 small legend eggs pack will decrease to more closely match the price of ten individual small legend eggs.
