Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 takes Apollo Island to a post-apocalyptic world, where shipwrecked people fight for survival. Epic Games has also added squads of NPCs that randomly land on the map, shooting at players!
Marauders land on the island thanks to a strange space capsule, and are very aggressive. They travel in squads and are well organized. There are several different types of marauders:
- Heavy Marauders: the most massive ones, carrying short-range weapons
- Precise Marauders: they stay back and are equipped with sniper rifles
- Tactical Marauders: they attack with medium-range weapons and gas grenades
When they die, Marauders drop weapons — at least on Epic-quality one — along with some ammo and materials. Be careful when fighting these armed groups: they're surprisingly coordinated, unlike NCPs that watch named places.
