One of the oldest Chinese teams of the League of Legends esports scene, Invictus Gaming has become the first LPL team to reach a collective 10,000 kill mark in competitive games

LoL: Invictus Gaming reach the 10,000 kill mark

In League of Legends, just like in other esports titles or traditional sports, players and performances tend to be forgotten over time. What remains, besides the trophies, are the numbers and the records.

Players, teams, and fans — everyone is hungry for statistics, especially when they are the testament of a feat.

It's not entirely surprising to see the Chinese team grabbing that achievement before anyone else, as the organization is present within the League competitive scene since Season 1 and already won Worlds in 2018.

Achievements are great, but they don't ensure victory or performance. Invictus Gaming ended the LPL 2020 Spring Split in fourth, just behind JDH, Top Esports, and the reigning World Champions, FunPlus Phoenix.

Just like the LEC, the LPL can seed four teams within the Worlds event — it remains to be seen if Invictus Gaming will be part of them...
