The first major release of 2020 for Amazon Games, Crucible is a third-person co-op shooter which adds PvE elements to the typical PvP format.

It will come with three game modes which offer different styles of play — a 4v4 PvPvE mode called Heart of the Hives which sees massive AI bosses get in the way of your duelling, an 8v8 capture-the-flag mode called Harvester Command, and a 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2 deathmatch mode titled Alpha Hunters.

You can see an overview of each mode in the first look trailer below. It appears to be an intriguing entry to the competitive shooter genre.

Crucible comes to Steam on May 20, 2020, and will be free-to-play with the aforementioned three modes and ten hunters to choose from.
