Original Article

Because the Mid Season Invitational 2020 has been officially canceled, there is now a period of almost two months before any new League of Legends competition. To fill that void, Riot Games Korea has decided to organize a temporary event.

The idea for such a tournament first came from T1's CEO Joe Marsh. Following the victory of his team after the LCK Spring Split, he suggested on Twitter to organize a friendly competition between LCK and LPL.

The enthusiasm around his proposal was such that Riot Korea decided to actually create the event. It remains to be seen when it will happen and which team will be involved.
