After Regigigas, it's Genesect's turn to have its own paid Special Research called A Drive to Investigate! With this Special Research, you will have the opportunity to get Genesect before it's available in Raid EX next April.

Pokemon GO: Genesect Special Research Paid Event this week

The Special Research, which will last 1 week (longer than expected) will be accompanied by a special weekend related to the Pokémon Genesect.

A Drive to Investigate: Special Research Scenario

The Special Study "A Drive to Investigate" will be available from March 20 at 8 a.m. to March 26 at 10 p.m. via a paid ticket of $7.99 in the store. Among other things, you'll be able to catch Genesect as well as other Insect and Steel- types Pokémon.

How to buy a ticket?

During the sale, these steps must be followed:

  1. Press the Learn more button from the store.
  2. Press the Buy button.
  3. You will then receive a message indicating that you have received a ticket for the event “A Drive to Investigate” . After clicking OK , the ticket will appear in your Object Bag.
  4. Before the event, you will receive a medal . Once the event has started, when you open the application, you will have access to a special Study entitled "A Drive to Investigate" .

Once the Special Study has been unlocked, all you have to do is complete the various quests to receive the following rewards :

  • An exclusive medal : "A Drive to Investigate"
  • Meetings with Insect and Steel Pokémon :

  • A meeting with the Pokémon Durant (it's a regional Pokémon)):

Finally, as the name of the Special Research suggests, Genesect has different drives. Indeed, it has the Techno Blast move which changes type depending on the Drive it carries:

A mysterious weekend linked to Genesect

Whether you have a ticket or not, you can all participate in this event which will take place on the weekend of March 20 at 8 a.m. to March 23 at 10 p.m.

  • Increased spawn in the nature of Normal , Water , Ice , Electric and Fire type Pokémon (linked to Genesect drives):
