The Relic Weapons are well known in Final Fantasy XIV. Symbol of hard work and dedication the road to get your hands one these shiny weapons is far from a calm ocean fishing session. While the stats of these legendary weapons are now very low compared to endgame gear the addition of a new series of Relics could very well change the tone, making them the most powerful weapon in the game.
Currently in the game are two types of Lore and Quests related relics:
- The Zeta relics
- The Anima relics
As well as a zone related relic:
- The Eureka relics
Each of these relics started to a first stage and was then upgraded along with the updates of the game.
Obtaining any of these weapons required intensive farming, be it due to a large amount of poetics needed or simply a long process.
For instance, obtaining a Zeta Relic at maximum level nowadays will require you to farm specific non-story dungeons (a lot).
The new relic weapons: Resistance Weapons
The addition of these new relics is still clouded in mystery. Will they be following the format of the Anima/Zeta relics or will they come in a new zone as the Eureka weapons did.
What we know is that they are expected to come with patch 5.25 in the upcoming weeks for the first stage and should be upgradable soon with incoming updates.
