Blizzard has decided to cancel the Overwatch League homestands taking place in China and Korea from February to March 2020. This decision follows the decision to protect the health of the players and staff. The coronavirus continues to infect more and more people around the world, so it's essential to protect the health and safety of the players and also of the fans.
[Feburary 24, 2020 announcement] In order to protect the health and safety of Blizzard players, supporters and staff, the relocation of Overwatch League matches to South Korea for week 5, 6 and 7 and the homestand in Seoul are canceled. Information will be provided on the rescheduling of the rescheduled matches later.
Always with the goal of preserving everyone's health, Blizzard made the decision to relocate the homestands that should have taken place in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hangzhou on February and March 2020. They will be relocated in Seoul, South Korea, and will be played mainly during Week 6 and Week 7, with the possibility of doing some of them during the Seoul homestand — which will take place in Week 5.
Blizzard clarified that these changes won't affect the homestands in Washington (W5), Florida (W6), and Atlanta (W7).

A total of five homestands have been cancelled, affecting a total of 27 matches for the beginning of this third season of the Overwatch League. We should have more information (places and dates) about the rescheduling of the cancelled matches at a later date. These matches could very well be played at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles, as it was the case in previous years.
Yesterday, Chengdu Hunters announced that they'll stay in China despite the coronavirus threat. The team has promised that it would ensure the safety of its players.
Blizzard announced the cancellation of all the Overwatch League matches in China from February to March. It means that a total of five homestands are concerned and had to be postponed due to the raging coronavirus outbreak.
