The original Neo VR headset was released in 2017, with the Chinese manufacturer Pico announcing the Neo 2 in March 2019. No further details were provided, but now all that has changed.
The Neo 2 was shown off at CES 2020, the consumer trade show held in Las Vegas until January 10, 2020.
We now know that it will feature Fresnel lenses with 4K definition, a refresh rate of 75Hz and 101 degree field of view, as well as an inside-out tracking system with six degrees of freedom of movement (6 DOF).
In terms of components, it will be equipped with a Snapdragon 845 chip with 128GB ROM and 4GB RAM, all packaged in a weight of just 350g. It will also be marketed with 6 DOF controllers with an electromagnetic tracking system that is more resistant to occlusion.
Created for businesses (no consumer distribution is planned), the price should be set at around $700, but another version called Pico Neo 2 Eye will also be available at $900. This version will also feature Tobii eye-tracking technology, as with on the Vive Pro Eye, making the Pico Neo 2 Eye the first standalone headset equipped with eye tracking. However, we still don't have any details of a launch date.

As expected, CES 2020 didn't really bring any fresh news about the upcoming PlayStation 5. However, Sony did reveal the official PS5 logo, and it's business as usual.
