Molten Core (MC) is a Raid in World of Warcraft Classic. It is available from launch and is the first 40-man raid you'll encounter during your adventure. Read more about MC below.
Raid Information
The entrance to the instance is located between Searing Gorge & Burning Steppes, at Mount Blackrock. In order to enter Molten Core, you need to complete Attunement to the Core, given by Lothos Riftwaker in front of the passage. The other entrance is located in Blackrock Depths, but is harder and more arduous to access.
If you are friendly with the Hydraxians, you'll be able to access quests given by Duke Hydraxis in Azshara. These quests not only grant reputation, but they also grant access to Eternal Quintessence once you're Revered with the Hydraxians. This item allows you to extinguish the eight Runes of Warding in the instance and summon the 9th boss, Majordomo Executus, which will allow you to fight the final boss, Ragnaros.
Each boss you kill will grant you reputation with the Hydraxians. You'll encounter countless different monsters inside the raid: notably Giants, Beasts, Elementals, and Humanoids. You'll also come across different pieces of Tier 1 gear in Molten Core, as well as two legendary items which can be used to craft Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker and Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros.
