Harry Potter Wizards Unite: How, where and when to find Oddities

Harry Potter Wizards Unite: How, where and when to find Oddities
2

Wizards Unite is full of creatures and collectibles, some rarer than others. Here is our little guide to help you catch Oddities in Niantic's latest game for iOS and Android.

Harry Potter Wizards Unite: How, where and when to find Oddities

Oddities are unlike standard Foundables in Harry Potter Wizards Unite, in that they are not freed from Confoundables the usual way.

Their Traces spawn on the on the Map, just like you would see other Traces from the Exploration tab of the Registry — except their appearance is tied to certain conditions that must be met.

This is where Wizards Unite's time of day and weather mechanics come into play.

Here is the current list of Oddities available in the register, and the conditions you need in order to find them:

Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Several other Oddities are included in the game code, such as Death Eaters, Three-Headed Dogs, Prisoners of Azkaban, and more. They will likely be added at a more advanced stage of play.

These creatures will be represented on the map by purple Traces. The beam of light above the Trace represents the Rarity Level.

If you notice an error in the spawn rates listed above, don't hesitate to let us know in the comments!

Weather in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Weather always has a significant impact in Niantic games, but it's even more the case in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite — some creatures will only be able to be captured under certain weather conditions. We break everything down in our guide.

I came to this page from a search for how weather and climate affect Oddities (for example Azkaban Escapees only spawn in the rain, and Horned Serpents are gated by annual rainfall), but this page is outdated and incomplete.

Is there an updated version of this page that includes Oddity pages 3-5? specifically page 5?
