Final Fantasy XIV: How to Make your Mount Faster in Zadnor and Bozja

Farming the Field Records or your Mettle ranks can take quite a while in Final Fantasy XIV and the original speed or your mount in these instances surely isn’t helping. There is a way of improving your mount's speed, and here is our guide on how to do so.

Final Fantasy XIV: How to Make your Mount Faster in Zadnor and Bozja

The Bozjan Southern Front and Zadnor are the main zones of the last patch in Final Fantasy XIV. You’ll be asked to go there quite often to complete your Shadowbringer Relics but also to obtain the Field Records note and work toward the exclusive two seat mount.

If you missed our guide on how to get all the Field Notes in both The Bozjan Southern Front and Zadnor here they are:

While you’re waiting on those Critical encounters and Skirmishes or on your way to one, your mount speed can be quite decisive. In fact with crowded instances of either Bozja and Zadnor it can get quite hard to score a golden medal and get your loot. The faster you get there the more likely you’ll cause enough damage to get your medal.

Speeding up your mount is quite easy if you already farmed either instance a bit. and don’t worry if you didn’t start yet, the grind is not that long.

To speed you mount up you will need to go and talk to the quartermasters of Zadnor or Bozja and get a riding map. These works exactly like on normal map and you can really feel the speed difference.

The Quartermasters are located here:

  • Bozjan Southern Front X: 14.2 Y: 29.7 and exchange Bozjan Southern Front Riding Map for 25 clusters.
  • Zadnor X: 34.7 Y: 35.1 and exchange the Zadnor Riding Map for 25 clusters.

Farming cluster can be really quick or take a little while but usually getting to 25 isn’t that hard. You can get these clusters from any monsters in Bozja and Zadnor and there are multiple areas on the map where you can pack a lot of monsters for some quick farming. Obviously farming this as a group will make things easier and i’d suggest getting a tank if you’re looking to farm anything above level 3.
