Don't know which tribe to choose in Biomutant? Which path to take between light and darkness? Here is the complete list of all possible endings in this post-apocalyptic RPG.

Biomutant Guide: Which Tribe to choose in the end

Available since May 25, 2021 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Biomutant is an open-world RPG allowing players to play as small fluffy animals with big guns (but also magic). But its deep history takes you especially in a post-apocalyptic world where you will have to make endless decisions altering the end of the game. We are obviously far from The Witcher 3 where each choice is full of consequences, but Biomutant nevertheless offers two main endings and some subtleties depending on your decisions.

How many endings are available in Biomutant?

The end of Biomutant depends entirely on the interactions with the different tribes in the game. Thus, a total of six tribes you will meet over the course of your adventure: each of your choices of dialogues and actions will influence your relationship with them. So that you could very well be at war with one of the Factions or, on the contrary, a strong ally.

But it goes further: if you can indeed become friends or not with this or that other tribe, some NPCs will only accept you if your Aura matches theirs. To put it simply, some Tribes are considered to be Light tribes while others are more focused on Darkness. This is why it is important to choose your Aura well in order to be able to work with the tribes you want. Of course, it is possible, throughout the adventure, to increase your luminous or dark aura and to distribute the "points" in an equitable way.

At the start of the adventure, you will be asked to choose between the Tribe of Jagni (Darkness) and the Tribe of Myriads (Light). Both wish to save the world from the scourge that has settled in but the first would like to destroy everything to rebuild everything, while the second would like to heal the Tree of Life to heal the Earth.

If you choose the Jagni (for example), then you will go to war with the Myriads. But that won't stop you from making light choices as you explore. That being said, choosing one or the other tribe will therefore take you to an entirely different ending.

Biomutant therefore only offers two endings to its main scenario but, depending on the player's actions with the six tribes of the game, it is of course possible to obtain different dialogues. Also note that among the 16 secondary characters of the game, you can select 4 who will accompany you in the Ark (the ship taking you far from the world) at the end of the story.

First possible ending in Biomutant: The Jagni and the end of the world

If you choose to help the Jagni Tribe or a Dark Tribe at the start of your adventure, then you will have to let the world explode. Your decision not to save the Tree of Life triggered a colossal Cataclysm and thus marked the end of the world. You fly as far as possible thanks to the Ark, in the company of the NPCs that you have chosen.

During this last quest called "End of the World", you will meet again the terrible Lupa-Lupin and can choose to spare or kill him after a long fight. In both cases (dark or light end), you will have to face this Ultimate Boss. In the case of choosing the Dark Tribe, your Sifu will ask you to kill Lupa-Lupin but you can decide not to finish him off.

Then you will have to run to the Ark, dodging the debris threatening the world to crumble. On board the Ark will settle the four NPCs that you have chosen to take with you.

Second possible end in Biomutant: The Myriads and the life that takes over

If you choose to help the Myriad Tribe or a Tribe of Light at the start of your adventure, then you will have to let the world explode. Your decision not to save the Tree of Life triggered a colossal Cataclysm and thus marked the end of the world. You fly as far as possible thanks to the Ark, in the company of the NPCs that you have chosen.

Much like the Dark Side's ending, you'll have to face off against the ultimate Boss Lupa-Lupin and decide whether or not to leave him alive. It is after this fight that the end is different. The Tree of Life will regain strength and bathe the rest of the world in its light. If this time the path is not threatened by rocks falling from the cliffs, you will again have to attend the cinematic of the Ark and the four NPCs that you have chosen to take with you.
