A hybrid DPS/Support class, the Technomancer proves to be a reliable asset in any co-op playthrough of Outriders.
Our guide suggests an optimal build, and points you in the right direction when it comes to armor and weapons.
Technomancer — Skill Trees
The skill tree you'll want to pick up here is that of the Demolisher. This branch focuses on maximising skills and damage with the Toxin status — an essential asset for the Technomancer, as each tick of damage also heals you.
The skills to focus on are Scrapnel, Blighted Rounds, and Tool of Destruction. With the final node in the tree increasing Anomaly Power by 50% for 10 seconds, and the bonuses granted by other skills and gear, it's primarily a DPS build with support elements.
Should you want to play more of a specialist support class for your team, we'd recommend the Tech Shaman tree.
Technomancer — Skill Choices
Given the choice of Demolisher tree, your choices are pretty much made for you. Focusing on the Toxic status and damage/healing mechanic, you won't need any specialist defensive skills. This is a build that just gets stuck in.
As such, the ideal skills to pick up are Scrapnel. Blighted Rounds. and Tool of Destruction.
ORDINANCE / INTERRUPT
Throw a proximity device. The explosion deals damage and Interrupts the skills of enemies caught within the blast radius.
Fill your current weapon's magazine with decay-infused bullets that inflict Toxic onto enemies. Enemies within a small radius of the main target also receive Toxic and 50% of the damage. The skill lasts until you reload or switch weapons.
Armor Set Bonus: Upon applying Toxic status, gain 5% damage reduction for five seconds. Stacks up to five times.
ORDINANCE / INTERRUPT
Conjure a Rocket Launcher that can Interrupt enemies or a Minigun that deals damage per shot. The skill will remain active until all ammo is depleted or until you switch weapons.
Technomancer — Legendary Armor
The Plague Sower set is the ideal armor set for this build, thanks to its damage reduction and boost to Toxic damage.
It also adds a bonus to the Blighted Rounds skill, meaning you'll become a one-person DoT machine with self-healing to boot.
Technomancer — Weapons
There's no real specialty when it comes to the Technomancer and weapons, but we think these three options are good fits for the build.
Enoch's Blessing — Legendary Pump-Action Shotgun
- Life and Death – Killing shots create a blast that restores a percentage of Health to players
- Gravedigger’s Frenzy – Critical shots increase your Critical Damage by a percentage for a duration
The Migraine — Legendary Submachine Gun
- Ultimate Bleeding Bullets – Shots inflict Bleed on enemies
- Bomb’s Ahead – Killing shots turn enemies into an Anomaly bomb
Inferno Seed — Legendary Assault Rifle
- Wrath of Moloch – Critical hits cause an explosion, dealing damage and inflicting Burn on enemies within a radius
- Brain-eater – Critical shots do not consume ammo
