Your time in Valheim is almost at an end. You’ve already defeated four bosses, and now it’s time for the fifth and final boss — Yagluth. In this guide, we walk you through how to summon and defeat the king of the Fulings

Valheim Boss Guide: How to summon and defeat Yagluth

There are five bosses you’ll need to defeat in Valheim. Each boss marks the end of a chapter in your journey through Valheim — and you have reached the final chapter. It’s time to summon and defeat the skeletal Yagluth, and here’s our guide on how to do that.

To find Yagluth’s altar, look out for the skeletal rock formation in the Plains biome — interact with the runestones to have the location added to your map.

Prepare for the Fight

Before you go looking for the king of the Fulings, you should prepare yourself for the coming fight. You’ll need plenty of Iron and Linen in order to craft Padded Armor.

Weapons wise, a Blackmetal sword and the Draugr Fang Bow are your best options. Make sure to craft plenty of Frost arrows to maximise damage!

You’ll need 2 x Fine Wood, 20 x Black Metal and 5 x Linen thread for the Blackmetal sword.

The best food and meads for this fight are:

  • Blood pudding, fish wraps, and lox meat pies
  • Fire resistance barley mean, medium healing meads and stamina meads

Eating at least three pieces of food to make sure your health and stamina are at the maximum before you summon Yagluth is also highly recommended.

How to Summon Yagluth

Now that you’re prepared for the battle to come, it’s time to make your way to the Mystical Altar. Once you arrive at this location, you’ll need to place five Fuling Totems on the altar — collect them from Fuling Villages and Fuling Berserkers.

You can teleport Fuling Totems, so it’s a good idea to build a portal near the altar.

The Fight against Yagluth

Yagluth is fairly slow, but his attacks can do a lot of damage. With 10,000 health points, you’re in for a long fight

  • When his fist glows blue, he will slam it in to the ground causing small circular explosion
  • When his fist glows red, he will slam it in to the ground causing stones to rain down like a meteor shower, the stones will explode on contact with the ground
  • Yagluth breathes fire while turning in a circle

Though these attacks can be devastating, Yagluth is slow enough for you to be able to dodge them easily enough.

Rewards for Defeating Yagluth

Bonemass will drop a trophy and three “Yagluth Things”, which currently have no use in the game.

Hanging the Yagluth trophy grants you a Forsaken Power that will grant you resistance towards elemental damage.
