Hunter - Genius

At first glance, Twisted Fate doesn't appear to be an assassin, yet he excels at locking down and eliminating single targets. Electrocute lets him secure kills on his target thanks to Pick a Card, whereas Destiny lets him lock on to isolated targets and be a global presence on the map.

Brutal, in red, gives you a burst of pure offensive stats which lets you have effective ganks even from an early level.

In green, Regeneration is tailor-made for mages, giving you some much needed health or mana regeneration depending on your current situation. Finally, Hunter - Genius offers you some precious Cooldown Resistance provided some of your side lane ganks are successful.

Here is the optimal skill order for Twisted Fate. Max out his abilities as outlined below, making sure to rank up his ultimate whenever you can.

Main Items

The items you buy will vary heavily from match to match depending on the enemy team comp. We've put together a list of the best items for Twisted Fate, ranked by their effectiveness. You'll want to pick up items in bold in the vast majority, if not all, of your matches on this champion.

1. Rod of Ages

2. Lich's Bane

3. Rapid Firecannon

4. Enchant Boots - Protobelt

5. Rabaddon's Deathcap

Tips and Tricks

  • If you manage to draw a gold card when using Pick a Card, don't be afraid to take the enemy midlaner head-on. This will condition your opponent to believe that you're setting up for a gank from your jungler and will force them to act cautiously for the rest of the laning phase, lest they walk head-first into a gank.
  • Once you reach Level 5, your goal should be to clear your wave and head into the river to gank a side-lane.
  • After the laning phase, Twisted Fate should make the most out of his excellent capacity to split-push and exploit enemy mistakes by teleporting into fights with his ultimate, Destiny.
