How to get money in Cyberpunk 2077

Eddies are central in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. You'll need large quantities of them to buy cyberware implants and vehicles.

How to get money in Cyberpunk 2077

To buy everything you need or even want in Cyberpunk 2077, you'll probably need more than a million eurodollars, since one of the game's trophies asks you to buy all the available vehicles — the most expensive being 225,000 eurodollars alone.

Add to that dozens of legendary cyberwares and weapons and the bill is staggering. There are many different ways to make money, and the best way is simply to combine them, so you'll quickly get rich.

Hacking

Playing the netrunner, even as an amateur, is by far the best source of income. By carrying out the mini quest of T-Bug which proposes to you to go to seek a software in store named "Ping" you'll unlock a formidable weapon.

As you have seen in this tutorial, performing the Ping technique on a device will display all the nearby devices. The access points are also displayed with a small red icon in the shape of a gift — that's what we're interested in here.

By plugging it in and doing the little puzzle, you'll get components and eddies. If you manage to complete all three puzzles at the same time the money earned increases strongly. You can also log out and start again until you complete a puzzle.

This won't necessarily be compatible with the way you plan to build your character, but we advise you to invest at least a few points in Intelligence as well as in the Quickhacking tree. There is a fairly accessible skill that will simply double the money you get from hacking.

If you invest more heavily, you can also automatically display all the hacking nodes, and also reduce the length of the puzzles. Investing more points in Intelligence also ensures that you can hack all the points.

Also note that buying a better cyberdeck from a ripperdoc will seriously help you since it allows you to enter a longer code sequence. Validating three codes each time is no longer too difficult with the epic version, and even less so with the legendary one. It's an investment that's worth it.

Fighting Crime

Progressing in the main adventure is really not profitable. You have to turn to secondary activities. The dozens of blue dots on the map indicate groups of criminals.

What interests us is that there is almost always a bag or a case with evidence on the spot, which often includes quality equipment as well as thousands of eurodollars.

Search chests

During your activities you'll regularly come across white chests often stored at floor level under a desk near a counter or computer, as well as black boxes that are everywhere.

They're used to store eddies, and their contents are usually displayed in white — which unfortunately doesn't attract too much attention — but it's an easy way to get your hands on large amounts of money.

Resell

Even if you plan to build up the Technical Ability skill, you don't need to resell everything — especially items of common quality. We advise you to make a quick sort between what you recycle and what you're going to sell.

In general pistols and machine guns aren't worth much (20-60 eurodollars), so it's better to recycle them. You must sell items worth more than 100 eurodollars. Same thing for the armors. Only the torso armor is strangely expensive. It easily goes up to several hundreds or even thousands of eddies.

It's better to recycle the rest and sell the torso armor. All the consumables you collect can also be sell, but they aren't worth much individually. Same thing for the extra cyberware components and mods.

The thing is that you obviously need a seller. On this side no problem, there are resale kiosks all over town, they're marked with a white cash register icon.

Cyberpunk 2077 Trophy List

With just under 50 trophies to complete in Cyberpunk, you're going to have to spend some time in Night City if you want to get 100%: between buying cars and increasing skills, there is plenty to do, but beware of spoilers.
