Summer has arrived for most Animal Crossing Switch players! And to celebrate this new season, you will find mysterious blue shells on your beach. But what are they used for?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Summer Shell Guide and DIY Recipes

If Animal Crossing; New Horizons often organizes limited-time events, it shouldn't be forgotten that the seasons are also a good way to harvest rare resources. In spring for example, it was possible to catch Cherry Blossoms in order to make furniture from the Sakura collection. In Autumn, you can then harvest mushrooms! But let's talk about Summer. All players in the northern hemisphere can, since June 1, take advantage of all the privileges of the season: sharks, beetles, fireflies and... blue shells!

Where to find blue shells / summer shells

Called Summer Shells, you can find them directly on your beach. Every day, go along the edges of the ocean to harvest as much as possible. Also, feel free to collect EVERYTHING to make room for new blue shells. The spwanrate of shells is rather long but don't hesitate to enter the shops and Villagers houses in order to regenerate the beach.

What to do with blue shells?

Just like the cherry petals, these shells will help you craft very special furniture. Here is the list:
