From June 1 until June 30, you can enjoy a special event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
Your goal? Help Cyrus & Reese prepare their wedding anniversary and take pretty pictures at Harvey's.
As a reward, you'll receive Heart Crystals, which you can then exchange for furniture from the Wedding Collection. Follow our guide to make sure you don't miss out!
First day of the Wedding Season
When you leave your home, you'll receive a call from Harvey. He'll explain that he needs help to photograph two lovebirds. You'll have to go to Photopia!
To go to Photopia:
- Enter the airport
- Select "I want to travel"
- Tell him "Harvey's Island"
When you arrive at Photopia, you'll find Harvey, Cyrus & Reese in full discussion. Cyrus & Reese being married, Harvey will need you to celebrate their wedding anniversary and photograph this beautiful moment.
This challenge is more difficult than it seems, however you'll have to create some very chic decorations in order to photograph the couple.
In the Wedding Studio, your objective is simple — recreate the wedding day of Cyrus & Reese. You'll have to decorate the studio so that it looks like a real wedding. Don't panic, you'll have wedding furniture available.
How to properly decorate the Wedding Studio
Here are some guidelines to follow:
- Be sure to use the wedding furniture provided in the Events tab
- Reese wants something cute with lots of pink and white.
To decorate the room:
- Press the down directional arrow on your left Joy-Con (like when you're in your home)
- Press the right arrow to open the menu of available furniture
- You'll automatically be taken to the Events tab
- Click on a piece of furniture to place it in the room
- For this first challenge, don't change the color variations of the furniture (you need something cute, pink and white)
Please note, only four pieces of wedding furniture are available at the moment. Don't hesitate to use the bench and the flowers several times to create a real hall.
When the decor is ready, talk to Reese so she can ask you to take the photo.
To ensure you don't appear on the photo: press the " — " button.
Warning: Reese will only look at the last photo you took. As a reward, she will give you a Wedding Bench and Heart Crystals.
There is a new photo challenge each day of the event, so make sure you check back in to complete them!
How to use Heart Crystals?
Each day, when you complete a Reese photo challenge, she will give you some Heart Crystals. By talking to Cyrus, you can then exchange them for wedding furniture. To unlock all the special furniture, you will have to complete at least seven days' worth of challenges. The more beautiful the photos you take, the more Crystals you gain.
We'd advise placing as many wedding items in your photos as possible, as the quantity of items is an important criterion in gaining the maximum number of Heart Crystals.
You will need approximately 261 Crystals to purchase each piece of furniture at least once.
Returning to the studio
Coming back to Harvey's photo studio every day, Reese will ask you for more photos, meaning you can get even more Heart Crystals and special furniture as a reward.
Be careful to respect Reese's instructions in terms of colors and themes (cute, chic, garden, etc.). Likewise, they will not ask you to recreate their wedding every day.
Here are the themes they can ask of you:
- Recreate the day of their wedding
- Wedding reception
- Host a wedding reception in party mode (add villagers)
- Create a very chic room
- Create a "Garden" room
- Create a very cute room
To start the event from the second day onwards, don't forget to speak to Harvey to trigger it.
As a reminder, only the last photo taken is evaluated.
