Short, intense and full of secrets — that's what best defines the freshly available demo of Resident Evil 3: Remake. It will be completed in about twenty minutes but will require a little more investment if you want to have access to all the possible arsenal to get rid of the Nemesis. Here are the places where you can find these weapons and accessories.
The M3 Shotgun
The most effective weapon of this demo is found in a building called Kite Bros Railway, more precisely in the room at the very back, just next to the fire hose which will allow you to finish the demo. Unfortunately, it is behind a grid closed by a chain. You'll have to come back here when you have recovered the Bolt Cutter, not far from here.
All you have to do is go to the Safe Room in the Donuts shop to pick up the Bolt Cutter. Return to the room where the M3 Shotgun awaits you and cut the chain to get your weapon.
Bonus
This is only valid for the demo. The Bolt Cutter will only serve you in three places. The first is obviously the room where you will get the shotgun. The second is a grid in front of Moon's Donuts giving you access to ammunition for the shotgun and other treats. The last one is the entrance to the Supermarket, after that, the Bolt Cutter will only be taking up unnecessary space in your inventory.
Dot Sight (pistol)
As you progress through the demo, you will find yourself on a zombie-infested street with an electric generator. Don't pay attention to it and head to the right to take the stairs. Going right again, you will pass a door that brings you to a kind of shed. You will face a safe with a note right next to it giving you a little clue.
" Aqua Cure ", remember this name.
Continuing through the streets, you'll come face to face with a pharmacy. Inside it, you'll find ammunition and a red plant — but more importantly, an "Aqua Cure" poster on the back of the room will give you the combination of the chest: 9 on the left, 1 on the right and 8 on the left.
Go back in the shed, and enter this combination. The Dot Sight (pistol) is now yours. It will allow you to have a laser sight which increases the aiming speed of Jill in order to headshot zombies much faster.
Grenades
A few grenades can be found everywhere in the demo. They will be useful especially if you want to play a little with the Nemesis.
- There's one in the small street in front of Moon's Donuts, the alley that you will unlock with the Bolt Cutter.
- You'll find one hidden in a locker just in front of the M3 Shotgun.
After several weeks of rumors concerning a playable demo, Capcom have finally made available one.
